Ried im Oberinntal
The village Ried im Oberinntal is situated at a height of 876 mtr in Tirol. It is a small village; the skiing area Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis can however easily be reached by car or bus (7-10 minutes). Other skiing areas like Samnaun-Ischgl, Nauders and the Kaunertaler glacier are situated within a radius of 30km. From Ried you can take the ski lift to the smaller skiing area of Fendles (with illuminated pistes).
The village is situated in the valley, along the road to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis and the Reschen pass. The village can easily be reached. Thanks to its lower location it is a perfect, cheaper alternative. The village Ried offers various accommodations.
Facilities
There are good ski bus connections (100m) to Fiss and to the Waldbahn (connection with Serfaus). The bus to Nauders leaves at the city hall (400m).
The village Ried is small, but nice. It has a supermarket, a bank, a drugstore and some restaurants. At a charge, the baker, across the supermarket, will deliver you fresh bread every morning. By means of an order list you can fill out your wishes. In Ried you will also find a bar, a sports shop and an office of the ski school of Fendels.
You can find larger supermarkets along the road to Prutz, near Ried (1 km).
